Henleaze Garden Excavation
The front garden of a house in Henleaze required excavation work to create two car parking spaces with access from the road.
What Symbol Gardens Did...
Symbol Gardens were approached by a house in Henleaze that had no off-street parking at their property. Working together, we scoped out the area space and agreed a garden excavation project could make space for their two cars to be parked.
Where the ground was excavated, a retaining wall needed to be built to withstand the groundworks and make enough space for two cars to comfortably sit. We used engineered bricks for their structural strength and clad the wall in a patterned stone brick effect.
To access the new parking spaces, we created a (legally approved) drop-kerb using low riser treads for ease of access and installed a driveway using permeable Saxon Paving blocks sourced from one of our reputable suppliers.
Due to the professional way we’ve installed the driveway, any rainwater can drain naturally through the ground rather than sending it out onto the main road and overflowing drains.
To obtain access to the house, we created steps leading up to the front door and installed a stainless steel handrail with waterproof external lights for safety.
The work took around two months from start to finish.
